We are Car People
We are national & Oregon State certified appraisers and car people! Owning, collecting and working on our special vehicles. We understand collectable vehicles, the hobby, the marketplace, but are not involved in any employment or endeavor that could lead to potential or actual conflicts of interest. We have decades of experience appraising all types of vehicles.
Reasons for a Certified Appraisal:
• Selling – An appraisal can be a tremendous help when selling.
• Buying – A pre-purchase appraisal / inspection can protect you from overpaying. (We also inspect the vehicle thoroughly and give you a condition graded report.)
• Insurance – Protect your investment by having input via an appraisal on the insured valuation of the vehicle. By having an appraisal, you can establish the
amount that the vehicle is insured for and the type of policy provided.
• Insurance Claims – Occasionally, an insurance company and the insured do not agree on the amount of loss. Either then may demand an appraisal to evaluate and declare the actual cash value.
• Claim Settlement – When the vehicle owner and the insurance company
don’t agree on the valuation after a loss, having an appraisal before can be a big help. We can determine Diminished and Pre-accident value.
• Donation / Gift – The IRS requires an appraisal for any substantial tax declared gift to charity or museum.
• Estate – An appraisal helps prevent your heirs for being taken advantage of when they try to sell your special vehicles. It can also help determine valuation for tax purposes.
• Collateral – Many financial institutions require an appraisal for a loan.
• Divorce – Don’t let an attorney or a court determine what your vehicle is worth.
• Fraud – An appraisal can help build your case.
In the state of Oregon a vehicle appraisers license is required and authorizes an individual to appraise vehicles.
BE CERTAIN YOUR APPRAISER IS LICENSED or you may be wasting money on an appraisal that will not be honored.
